21 Days, 30 Wins and The Secret To Growth

Cody Alt | Nov 20, 2024

Have you ever asked yourself how much you really want to grow? How important is getting better to you?

For me, it's what I'm obsessed about the most and I'm pretty fuckin hard on myself if I catch myself slippin.

Now, before you answer, ask yourself another question:

Is progress more important to me than staying comfortable?

You’ve probably heard people like The Rock, Vin Diesel, or David Goggins say:

“No pain, no gain!”

Maybe it’s the motto of the gym enthusiasts you see pushing themselves daily. But even if you’re not into the gym scene, this idea is everywhere.

Entrepreneurs like Elon Musk or Naval Ravikant might put it this way:

No risk, no reward!

No matter how you phrase it, one thing is clear.

Greatness doesn’t come from staying comfortable.

Think about it.

There’d be no iPhone if Steve Jobs hadn’t taken bold risks.

No legendary athletes without endless hours of training.

No exploration of the New World if Columbus had turned his ship around.

You can’t get stronger by sitting your ass on the couch. You won’t climb higher in your career by coasting.

To truly improve, you must step outside your comfort zone.

But here’s the good news, stepping out of your comfort zone is a skill you can develop.

Like any other skill, you can train yourself with small, consistent challenges that push you just enough to grow.

Remember: diamonds form under pressure—but the right kind of pressure, applied the right way.

Ready to Change? Try one of these, Or multiple if you're really fed up with your shit.

21-Day No Complaints Challenge Stop complaining for 21 days straight. Complaints are like magnets for negativity—they attract more reasons to complain. When you break this habit, you’ll notice:

A clearer mind. Better conversations. More energy to focus on solutions, not problems. If you catch yourself starting to complain, pause, reset, and move on.

The goal isn’t perfection—it’s progress.

30-Day Minimalism Challenge On Day 1, get rid of 1 item.

On Day 2, get rid of 2 items. Continue this pattern for 30 days.

This exercise helps you:

Declutter your space and your mind. Let go of attachments that no longer serve you. Make room for creativity and focus.

It’s tough but worth it—and it strengthens your discipline too.

75 Hard Challenge This one’s a life-changer, but it’s tough. For 75 days, stick to these daily rules:

Eat healthy (no cheat meals).

Drink 3 liters of water.

Read 10 pages of a nonfiction book.

Do two 45-minute workouts (one outside). Take a progress photo.

This challenge isn’t just about fitness—it’s about building mental toughness and creating habits that transform your life.

Tech-Free Saturdays Pick one day a week to go tech-free. No phones, social media, or screens. Instead, spend time:

Reflecting on your goals. Rediscovering hobbies or connecting with loved ones.

Giving your brain a break from constant stimulation.

Sometimes, growth comes from giving yourself permission to be bored.

52-Week Money Challenge Start small and save weekly:

Week 1: Save $1. Week 2: Save $2. Week 10: Save $10.

By Week 52, you’ll have saved $1,378 (or more if you multiply the amounts).

This builds financial discipline and shows you the power of consistent action over time.

The Phone Charger Challenge Stop charging your phone by your bed. Charge it in another room for 3 nights. Why?

You’ll sleep better without late-night scrolling.

Your brain gets a chance to wind down.

You’ll wake up on time since you have to get up to turn off your alarm! Small steps like this can massively improve your focus and energy.

Morning Pages Start your day with 5-10 minutes of journaling. Write freely—there’s no wrong way to do it. This practice helps you:

Clear mental clutter. Process emotions. Gain insights about yourself and your goals.

It’s not just a routine; it’s a way to connect with yourself and stay grounded.

Final Thoughts.

Every big transformation starts with small, consistent actions.

Choose one challenge from this list and commit to it. You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to start.

The question isn’t “Can I do it?” It’s “How much am I willing to grow?”

Your comfort zone might feel safe, but real greatness lies just outside of it.

That's all for this week. If this helped you, be a friend, tell a friend.

Your Montana Buddy,

Cody

And while you’re busy saying “yes” to all these things, shit you want to accomplish gets pushed to the back burner. Most people stay average because they’re so caught up in the noise of other people’s priorities. You can choose to be different. discipline, motivation, entrepreneur, success, gratitude

Cody Alt | June 11, 2025 Growing up in a small Montana town, I was taught discipline before I could spell it. Ranch work didn’t care if I was tired. Running heavy equipment demanded focus, not feelings. I worked with adults and I couldn't be the kid that complained. That grit and relentlessness has carried me to over $225 million in online sales as a serial entrepreneur. Discipline wasn’t a choice, it was survival. Now, it’s my weapon. Let me show you how to make it yours. In a world of...
